Fortunately, the cyclists from Chainreaction had spent a night in the warm and dry because after setting off from Přerov in Czechia, the athletes continued as the previous day had ended: with lots of rain. The fact that the ambulance wouldn’t start didn’t improve the mood. But after a short repair, all 14 ambulances were able to set off together. At lunchtime, there was a refreshment stop at a pizzeria, which presumably made the biggest turnover of its business life with more than 28 athletes and the staff of the ambulances. After 230 wet kilometres, not only accommodation in a modern sports centre awaited the cyclists and their companions in Krakow, but also the German Consul General Holger Mahnicke.
