Education & Culture
Our pre-war activities were focused mostly on educational and cultural projects to raise awareness of Ukrainian culture and strengthen Ukrainian-German relations. With our homeland in our hearts, we also supported the delivery of humanitarian aid back to Ukraine.
Humanitarian aid since 2014
Even before the organization was officially established, we collected, packed and sent humanitarian aid to Ukraine as part of Reverend Bohdan’s initiative.
German Language Course for Refugees
Back in 2016, we conducted German language courses for refugees who were forced to leave Ukraine due to Russian aggression.
Saturday School in Bamberg
Since 2018, we have held classes in Saturday school, initially for Ukrainian children and subsequently for refugee children.
School Exchange Program
In 2019 and 2020, we managed to conduct a school exchange program with the participation of high schools in Bamberg and schools in remote parts of western Ukraine.
Intercultural Christmas Craft Fair
Before the pandemic, we always participated in the Intercultural Fair, where we introduced visitors to Ukrainian Christmas traditions.
Hand-Made Easter Eggs
Every year at Easter, we used to bring Easter eggs painted by Ukrainian masters to Bamberg.
Multimedia Ukrainian Language Course
To make it easier and more interesting for foreigners to learn the Ukrainian language, we created our own educational multimedia course.
