Exhibition “Students at War”

A heartfelt invitation to the photo exhibition “Students at War,” part of the global initiative “Unissued Diplomas.”

The exhibition unveils and honors the stories of 40 Ukrainian students who will no longer be able to fulfill their future dreams, presenting a final diploma in their memory.

Programmhighlights:

  • Short Lecture: Dr. Maria Parkhomenko (Research Associate at the Chair of Modern and Contemporary History with a focus on Eastern European History)
  • Real Stories: Students from Ukraine share their experiences

The exhibition, as well as the reports from students, address topics such as war, violence, and loss. Some content may be emotionally distressing, especially for those with personal experiences of loss or trauma. Please be mindful of your boundaries.

The exhibition is organized in cooperation between the Chair of Modern and Contemporary History with a focus on Eastern European history at Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg and the organization “Bamberg:UA”. The funding was made possible through support from the federal program “Demokratie leben!”
