Through our fundraising campaign ‘Energy for the Winter’, Bamberg e.V. is supporting people in Ukraine who are at risk of power cuts and the cold due to Russia’s war of aggression and the targeted attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. We are collecting donations for urgently needed electricity supplies, mobile energy systems and heating aid, so that people can be better provided during the winter months.
The ongoing Russian attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure are threatening the electricity and heating supplies for many people. Damaged power grids and power cuts are making everyday life difficult and pose a major challenge, particularly in winter. Electricity is needed not only for lighting and communications, but also for heating, medical care and the operation of vital facilities.
Through our winter aid programme for Ukraine, we aim to help improve the energy supply in areas where it is urgently needed. Every day, we receive requests from people and organisations in Ukraine who are in urgent need of specific humanitarian aid.
What are we raising money for?
Our fundraising appeal, „Energie für den Winter“, focuses on four specific needs:
- Mobile power supply: Two charging stations with an output of 800 to 1,000 watts to provide urgently needed electrical power.
- Thermal aids for people in Ukraine: 300 thermal blankets, as well as heat pads and hand and body warmers, which help people to keep warm in cold weather.
- High-performance power supply systems: two systems, rated at 15 kW and 30 kW respectively, each fitted with a solar inverter, to support an independent and reliable electricity supply.
- Portable power stations: Four EcoFlow DELTA Pro 3 units as flexible power sources for situations where the regular power supply fails.
The current funding requirement for these four initiatives is at least 25,000 euros. Your donation will help prepare people in Ukraine for the coming winter.
