
German Language Course for Refugees
In response to the Russian war in the east of Ukraine, we organized German language courses for refugees coming here.

As a result of the war in the east of Ukraine, many people were forced to leave their homes. Some refugees arrived in Bamberg, mainly from Donetsk and Luhansk. Reverend Bohdan Pushkar, a priest in the Ukrainian Greek-Catholic parish of St. Nicholas, organized a German language course for these refugees.
The two-hour course took place from Monday to Friday between 2 February 2016 and 25 July 2016. It was held in the church premises and given by Yaryna Ersteniuk, Alevtyna Gnenna and Anna Lonska, students of German Language and Literature at the University of Bamberg.
